Sonrisa Supportive Family Living Program
Sonrisa provides 8 two-or-three-bedroom apartments for families transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing. The below-market-rate rents are based on income, and families can stay for up to two years while they save funds to move into permanent housing.
The program manager works directly with families and their children. Programing includes case management, life skills training, parenting classes, financial counseling, and recreational activities. Close cooperation with public school counselors is also included.
By supporting our mission you assist our clients find employment, obtain healthcare, seek counseling, enroll in treatment programs and move into housing – our ultimate goal. Last year, 52 percent of the men, women and children in our five residential programs successfully did so. It’s a tribute to the hard work and efforts of our clients and their case managers.
